Personal audition is intended for trained singers. Only screened singers will get a chance to perform in the regional live competition. Personal audition takes place only when the number of participants is very huge in number. Please register yourself using your city specific ‘Participate’ link in our website by paying $50 donation. Choose ‘Personal Audition’ in mode of participation. Based on number of participants, there may be private audition (first round and semi finals as mentioned below) before regional live competition. First Round: During personal auditions, participants may perform any song they choose without music for up to 60 seconds (or more depending on the number of participants). Auditions may be videotaped for later judging by the Spandana panel of judges. Top performers, as determined by the Spandana judge’s team, will advance to the Semi Finals round. Simi Finals: Performers will audition with an instrumental track of music (no vocals), up to 90 seconds long (or more depending on the number of participants). Music will be provided to the Performer on CD from a predetermined song list from Spandana. Each Performer will choose from this song list only, as the songs must meet Spandana specifications. Performances will be judged by a panel of Spandana judges. Once each performance begins, participants must complete the performance without music restart. A technical problem will result in the granting of a re-start. Top performers, as determined by the panel of judges, will advance to the final round to compete in the live competition. Finals (Regional live competition): Finalists must be available for rehearsal before the live competition day as per schedule. Final Round performers must be available for regional live competition over the weekend as per schedule. MEGA FINALE at national level: Top performers from the finals, as determined by the panel of judges, will advance to the MEGA FINALE at national level to compete in the live competition. |
